I love Halloween, but I'm not really sure why. I hate scary movies but for some strange reason, I've been watching them lately...a lot! Children of the Corn (yuck!), The Shining (classic), The Village (highly recommended) and House of Wax (because who doesn't want to see Paris Hilton take one in the head).
Anyway, perhaps I love Halloween simply because I just love fall ~ it is, by far, my favorite time of the year ~ football, soup, the leaves, scarves and sweaters, and not having to justify sitting on the couch all day. It could also be because it's the start of the 'holiday season.' I mean, you can already buy Christmas decorations at this point. No really, I went looking for Halloween decor for a party we're having at work, and I was totally distracted by all the fun Christmas decorations I wanted to add to my collection (by collection, I mean tree with ornaments ~ I'm not one of those weirdos who collects things). But that said, I'm really looking forward to setting up my tree!
I just love this time of year.

I know, I know...

I've been a negligent blogger. My sincerest apologies to my many readers, including you gramma. ;) So, things are going well, nothing new to report. This past weekend, my roommate Jenna, our friend Mandy and I carved pumpkins and watched a scary movie...I hate scary movies. But back to the pumpkins...I wish I can tell you that this is what they looked like, but I can't. Unfortuntaley, my pumpkin carving skills are lacking BUT my pumpkin seed roasting skills aren't. YUM! However, we did proudly display our vegetable art on our massive staircase, and you can't really tell how silly they actually look.
Anyway, it was another great weekend. Can't wait for Halloween!

Updates
Well, it's Tuesday and my second day on the job. I'm learning a ton, but I'm getting really excited to get going. Good times! And I know you're all (my many readers~teehee) wondering how the move went, which can be summed up in one word~flawless. My parents and brother were so supportive and simply amazing~thanks again to them. The place is is so perfect, and being right on the lake is great motivation to stay active. Jenna and I are Greenlakes' newest, happiest residents.
