the big climb
since my friends and i love to do random, fun things (who doesn't, right?), i've decided torture is the next thing on the list. to accomplish this, i'll be participating in the big climb, to benefit the leukemia & lymphoma society (LLS). i'm sure many of you have heard about this event, climbing all 1,311 stairs and 69 floors of the columbia tower in downtown seattle. my friend, mandy is organizing our team, named george clooney. don't ask me why.
anywho, if you want to support me, just head over to http://www.bigclimb.org/ and click donate. type my name in and then donate. thanks for supporting my new initiative for torture, i mean the fight against blood cancers.

there's GOT to be something more important to focus on...
...than THIS:
Bill would allow pet remains in human cemeteries
11:29 AM PST on Wednesday, January 14, 2009
Associated Press
OLYMPIA, Wash. — State Sen. Ken Jacobsen of Seattle has introduced a bill that would allow cat and dog remains to be buried with humans in cemeteries meant for people.
Jacobsen told The Seattle Times he got the idea after his beloved pet cat, Sam, died and was buried in his back yard.
Jacobsen discovered that co-mingling animal and human remains wouldn't be allowed. However, it is possible for human ashes to be interred in a pet cemetery. There are cremated remains of more than 20 people at the Pethaven Cemetery in Kent.
i mean, really? our senate is spending time talking about THIS?

happy new year!
wow, what a great holiday season! i had a blast in whistler. i think it's my 2nd favorite place to visit, right behind chelan. we met some really fun people, skied and relaxed. discovered some great music, thanks to my travel partners (coldplay lost!, sparks, and shiver; kings of leon ~ LOVE THEM!) if you've never been to whistler, i HIGHLY recommend it. even if you don't ski! you can still take all the gondolas up to the peaks and take in the amazing view. some people actually enjoy whistler better in the spring/summer because there's so much to do. geesh, any more promotion and i should get paid. ha...i can't wait to go back.
